Popham British Championship Qualifier
Posted on July 19, 2017 • 2 min read • 249 wordsThis was one of my qualifying runs at DroneZone: Popham Airfield hosted by the guys who run the Kwad Club League!
I ended up qualifying in 6th place overall but sadly due to a change in how the finals works I made it into B finals and crashed out due to an unlucky hit with a big lump of wood :D oops. I could have advanced through to A finals but one of those things. I felt like I didn’t have that much focus at this race and kind of felt out of it, so next race I’ll be much more prepared with a whole ton more practice coming.
This run is not a bad one, the first lap is a little slow (there was a TON of video issues here and this is with a quadversity setup), but once I had seen that there was not too many video issues on this one I sped up a little throughout the run. I think I should have also increased my camera angle to increase my general speed it looked almost too comfortable, but it remained smooth and this run I believe took 4th place for that specific round of qualifying.
