6s BEAST // Fun Fly Racing @ Delta Hawks

Some of us got invited up for a tester day as we have a “regions” race coming up next weekend, with the North vs South vs Midlands to see which region can be crowned the fastest region in England :) being based in the Midlands it was a prime opportunity to go back up to Delta Hawks, it’s always a great days session there with super friendly people. I purposely didn’t put any transponders on so I could focus on getting the feel of my quads right, rather than chasing those lap times and crashing out (crashing seems to be a constant thing for me at the moment, or at least it feels like it).

With some tweaks here and there to my main race quads I think I’ve found some settings and pids that fly how I want them to, to hopefully get myself back on track. I definitely feel slower this year, I still haven’t really pinpointed it (there’s been a lot of stuff going on with DRL etc), so now with all that stuff out of the way it’s time to focus on my racers again! In the video is my 6s Racing/Freestyle quad, I figured if I was going to get any laps it would be with this one :) you can see the thing has so much power its very easy to overshoot a corner or hairpin, so if I was to take on 6s for a normal racing quad I’d definitely have to manage the cornering better, but for a quick blast of a few packs it does me just fine!

Thanks to Richard and all of the Delta Hawks crew for putting the day on, great fun :) and thanks to Smoky for designing the track, a bit of a battery burner let’s say, but hey it’s fun to go fast!
